Eagles Grounded by Bulldogs

Kaisa takes a shot against Denair

LeGrand put an end to Turlock Christian's undefeated Southern League with a 40-35. The TC girls struggled against the pressure put on by the Bulldogs quick guards ending the game with 32 turn-overs. The officiating was questionable at the least with Molly Farrar fouling out when the the men in strips mistakenly gave her credit for a foul committed at least 15 feet from where she was. The two closest Eagles were Natalie Synder, number 35, and Amy Wright, number 23. You have heard of celebrity couples with combined names, such Trenis (that's Trent and Glenis :) so in this case the officials combined 35 & 23 and got 32.

Kaisa Spycher led the team with 12 points shooting 75% and grabbed 14 rebounds while Amy Wright tossed in 10 points. The girls made a valiant run at the Bulldogs in the fourth quarter by fell short.

The lost dropped the Lady Eagles power rating for the play-offs to only 1/1000 of a point higher then Bradshaw Christian for the number one seed in the tournament. The section will continue to update the ratings for the next 2 Mondays. The only thing that can move TC out of the top seed is a loss in one of the final 3 games.

Come out and support the girls as they travel to Mariposa on Thursday.
