The Lady Eagles routed the Waterford Wildcats 77-11 on Thursday, January 15th. TC came out on fire and were leading 20-2 by the end of the first quarter. Dominating the boards and stealing the ball at will the Eagles extended their lead to 45 to 9 by halftime. Some in the crowd began to whisper about the possibility of 100 points. Since Waterford was able to score, at least a few points, there would not have been the Covenant Christian vs Dallas Christian Academy debacle. Coach Edwin, the classy guy that he is, would never be mean spirited and run up a score, so he showed mercy to the Wildcats by not pressing and giving everyone on the team plenty of playing time during the second half. The team's defense was awesome during the second half holding Waterford to 2 points. Great job girls.
