TC Sweeps Southern League 1st Half

The TC Lady Eagles ended the first half of the Southern League with an impressive win over the Waterford Wildcats.  If the home team had pulled off the upset there would have been a 6 win / 1 loss log jam at the top of the league standings.  That "up set" was not to be as the Eagles came out and scored the most points in a first quarter this year.  The team looked impressive on offense as they shot close to 50% for the first three quarters and hit 6 out of 8 threes for an amazing 75% from beyond the arc.  While Waterford's hopes were being dashed on the rock know as the Lady Eagles, TC was scoring at will.  The trio of Viss sisters were all impressive players and Waterford was much improved over years past but not improved enought to clip the Eagles wings.  This team came within 10 points of beating RC in their first Southern League meeting, but they could not keep up with the high octane Eagles.

Impression Performances Included:

Three Point Shooting:  Natalie Snyder (3/3) and Kara Gabrielson (3/4)
Shooting %: Marly Burton (60% - 6/10), Natalie and Kara (56% - 5/9), and Kaisa Spycher (50% - 7/14)
Rebounds: Marly and Kaisa (9 each) and Kara, Molly Farrar and Molly Zuhlke (6 each)
Assists: Molly F (9)

The JV continued to impress as they forged a large lead and then hung on for their 6th win in 7 league games.  They are now in second place behind RC.

Come out and support the teams as they play Delhi tonight at Calvary.
