Natalie Snyder: Bee Athlete of the Week - WOW

This honor does not include her outstanding game against Waterford on Monday night where she scored 13 points (3 for 3 from the 3), ripped down 2 rebounds, had a steal and 3 assists.  Way to go Nat, I'm a fan, how about you.

Here is the article from the Modesto Bee.

NATALIE SNYDER
Turlock Christian guard
Natalie Snyder usually earns her playing time with tough defense, focusing on the opposition's backcourt. The 5-foot-7 junior showed an offensive side, though, scoring a season-high 19 in a 59-45 Southern League victory over second-place Ripon Christian. "Natalie has improved in her ability to know when to take her shot and when to pass," coach Edwin Santiago said. "Marly Burton's presence inside has given her more outside shooting opportunities, since it is difficult to concentrate on Snyder alone and leave Marly with single coverage underneath. "She did not do anything different other than capitalize on all the attention Marly Burton was getting. RC decided to focus on other players inside and Natalie seized her opportunity." Snyder averages 7.4 points, but has had games of 18, 17 and 15 points this season. She also hit 5 of 9 3-point shots last week and is now shooting 31 percent from behind the line. Her defense is just as critical to TC's success, though: "Her defensive abilities are her greatest contribution," Santiago said. "She makes it difficult for guards to get their shots."
