Amy Wright Runs By The Capitols
The game was decided in the first few minutes on Thursday as the Capitols couldn't get the ball up the courts against the press and when TC went to a half court defense they couldn't get the ball over the top of the key without getting it stolen. One of the TC players told me that she thought that Sac Adventist was worse then Lutheran High.
Today's game will be at Galt High School in Galt. The girls played there last year in the semi-finals and had a great game despite a loss to Bradshaw Christian.
Here is what the Modesto Bee said about the game:
GIRLS
Division 5/Semifinals
No. 11 RIPON CHRISTIAN (12-14) vs. No. 2 TURLOCK CHRISTIAN (25-4) — RC has upset two higher seeds, but hasn't met a team of TC's ability. Imagine how powerful TC would be if Halie Bergman (24 ppg) were not sidelined by a knee injury. ... When these two met last year in the quarterfinals, TC won 37-27. TC also won by 20 in December, when Bergman was still playing. To avoid a similar result, 5-10 Kelsey Tillema (13 ppg, 10 rpg) needs scoring support from her struggling teammates. ... TC took on an underdog's mentality after losing Bergman, winning 16 of its last 17. TC will spread the scoring with 6-foot Kaysa Spycher, and the 5-9 duo of Molly Farrar and Amy Wright (combined 30 ppg).
KEY: TC averages 56 rebounds a night — the section's No. 2 team gets 46 a game — led by Spycher (11 rpg) and 6-2 soph Marly Burton (9.1 rpg). If TC continues that dominance, it is headin to the title game.

Right after my rant, which I posted after the 1st play-off game, the Bee writes something nice.
See you all at the game.
Let's Go Eagles:-)
