Stanislaus County Invitational Re-Visited

TC Swimmin Eagles had a great meet at the Stanislaus County Invitational at Johansen High School in Modesto on Saturday, April 17.

The boys placed 11th beating Downey, Davis and Enochs of the MML (Modesto Metro League), and Sonora of the VOL (Valley Oak League). The top 16 swimmers in individual events place. Here is the run-down of the Eagle boys events;

The Lady Eagles stunned the field by placing 5th in the meet, beating the likes of Turlock, Atwater, Beyer, and the host Johansen.

The top five finishers were Merced, Modesto, Pitman, Los Banos and Turlock Christian. Outstanding performances were turned in by the entire girls team, with many of the athletes achieving personal best.

Eagles Look Great at Stanislaus County Meet

The TC Eagles participated in the Stanislaus County Invitational Swim Meet on Saturday, April 17 and really impressed both the fans and their opponents. This swim meet draws all of the big schools in the the tri-county (Stanislaus, Merced, and Mariposa counties) area. Sonora was the only other smaller school at the meet.

The relay teams did great with the girls finishing in the top 3 in the 200 free and 200 medley. Colin took 1st place in the 50 free and second in the 200 free. I am trying to get all the info on the meet and will follow-up over the weekend.

The Eagles Swim Well as Pitman

A new season, a new sport, and a new set of blogs:-) The swim team has grown a whapping 57% in members for last year's team of 7. 9 swam at the meet on Friday and did great as they faced the Hilmar Yellow Jackets and the Pitman Pride.

The team has had a few other meets but the Zulkster did not attend due to the TC Lady Eagles basketball team going to the California State Basketball Tourny. Way to go girls:)
