Eagles Swat the Yellowjackets

A new season - A new blog opportunity:-)

HEY, WHERE ARE THE PICTURES AND VIDEO. If you have any, I can insert an impressive array of Audio/Visuals in the blog if provide with them. You got pics and vids, I want them.

The Turlock Christian Lady Eagles began the 2009 campaign with a 3-0 win over the Hilmar Yellowjackets. The buzz in the gym was not provided by an over-matched Yellowjacket team, rather by the impressive Eagles. All the players had an opportunity to play and the all played well.

The highlights of the match included:

• Kills (some really nice ones); Kaisa Spycher and Aubrey Larsson with 5 each and Rebekah Muller with 4.
• Service Points: Rebekah (6), Aubrey (5) and Candice Balswick (4). Morgan Andre also had a really impressive jump serve that seemed to shred the Jackets D, but only ended with 2 points in the official stats.
• Blocking: The "short" Eagles did surprising well in the blocking category. Rebekah led with 2 blocks while Aubrey, Megan Brown, and Molly Zuhlke each had 1 block.
• Setting: The coaching staff is loading the team with quality setters as Johanna Muller carried most of the duties, but Kara Gabrielson and Molly Farrer were impressive giving the hitters easy targets to pound.
• Digging & Service Receiving: The trio of Candice, Rebekah, and Aubrey provide the "Dig Duggers" as they combined for 35 up balls that kept the offence on the attack.

Come out and support the Lady Eagles as they play Pitman @ Pitman 6:00 PM, Monday, August 31.

Lady Eagles Hoops: The Summer of Tahoe

Zephyr Point, Stateline, Nevada - Fun in the Lake

Summer basketball has come to an end. The girls played in a number of tournaments and also participated in some exciting scrimages. The tournaments included two at UC Berkeley. These were 1 day events that gave the girls the opportunity to play four games at each tournament against schools from all over California and Nevada.


The Littlest Fan @ Tahoe

The 3rd tournament was a major event in South Lake Tahoe. The girls went up on a Tuesday and returned home on Saturday. Eleven girls participated and many families (5 all week) came up to enjoy the games and area. The girls had an outstanding tournament, winning 4 games which is the most wins for a TC team in all the years they have been going to the event.


Everyone stayed in a cabin in Stateline, Nevada.

The Softball Season: A Look Back to the 2009 Team

The 2009 softball season is done, finished long ago. I was looking at the pictures I took during the season and thought maybe some of you would like another look. Just click the link and you can browse at your leisure. If you want to keep any of the pictures it's really easy. Click the picture that interests you and then click the "picture size" icon above the picture. When you decide the size just place the cursor on the picture, hold down and drag to the desired location (desktop, folder, etc.) and let go. You now have the picture.
