Lady Eagles 2009/2010: The Underclassman

The Lady Eagles traveled to scrimage Forest Lake Christian on Friday night. The varsity faced the scrappy Falcons. Everyone played a lot of minutes. The Falcons, usually a power in Division 5, were out manned and out gunned by the Eagles. One TC player said, "They were trying to beat us up instead of beat us". Good job Eagles.

This year's team has three underclassman on the roster.

44 Marly
Marly Burton: Sophomore Marly returns for her 2nd year on varsity. Last year she averaged 1.1 blocked shots per game and 5.3 rebounds.

Tahoe July 09 24a
Natalie Snyder: Natalie, a sophomore, makes her debut as the only member of last year's record setting JV team on varsity. She lead the Eaglettes to a 15-0 Southern League championship as a freshman. The sharp shooting sophomore should continue to shine.

Tahoe July 09 36
Halie Bergman: New to the Eagles and to Turlock Christian High School is the freshman lefty Halie. She played on the summer team that did so well at the Lake Tahoe Tounament in July. We are looking forward to her contributions to this year's Lady Eagles.

Improved Waterford Falls to the Eagles

The Waterford Wildcats visited "The Nest" and lost the set in three straight. Molly Farrar and Kara Gabrielson started the game at the setter positions since the Muller's had missed practice due to some college visits to Washington and Oregon. Molly F. was excellent at the setting position and Kara was awesome at the hitting those sets. Way to go girls:-)

The Wildcats, though only 1 win in league, played much better then the last time they met the Eagles.

Outstanding Performances Include:

Kills: Andre Morgan and Aubrey Larsson (8) and Kara Gabrielson (4).
Service Points: Johanna Muller (9), Rebekah Muller (7), Aubrey, Megan Brown, and Kaisa Spycher (4 each) and Molly Zuhlke (3).

Molly Zuhlke received the game ball as she was perfect for the night with no errors in 11 ball handling opportunities.

Way to go Lady Eagles.
