JV Lady Eagles: What's Been Happening

I haven't posted the blog for a while. Waiting on more pictures but we have not connected.

vs. Mariposa

The JV Eagles had the match of the year against Mariposa. After losing the first game, 15-25 the girls came back to win the second game (25-22) and then came from 10 points behind, in a 15 point game to win 17-15. The final game was one of the most exciting games this reporter has every seen. With the score at 1-11, Mariposa's lead, the Eagles came charging back. Outstanding performances included assists from Kara (4) and Molly F (5). Those sets were providing kill opportunities for Molly Z (4), Kara (4) and Kaisa (3). The team had 5 blocks, Kaisa 1, Ashley 2, and Molly F 2, which stifled the Mariposa attackers. In the 3rd game comeback Kaisa had 6 service aces. Great job!

vs. Denair

After the high on the mountain top (the win vs. Mariposa) the team had a low in the valley. The Eagles lost a close match to the Denair Coyotes. Despite the loss there were still some outstanding performances.

The JV Lady Eagles ran into an improved Waterford squad and lost 0-2.

Eagles Downed by Coyotes

The Eagles had another tough match with our Monte Vista rivals the Denair Coyotes. There were many outstanding preformances during the match including 8 service aces by Rebekah and 6 kills by Morgan.

Game 1: 25-21 win
Game 2: 21-25 loss
Game 3: 19-25 loss
Game 4: 9-25 loss

Delhi Revisited: New Pictures of Old Game Posted

JV Eagles Nip Wildcats

The Eaglets pulled out a nail biter against the Waterford Wildcats with a 2-1, come from behind, victory on Monday night. Molly F (6 assists) and Kara (5 assists) directed the Eagle attack. The team's 15 kills were divided between Kaisa (5 kills), Kara (4 kills), and the Mollies (F & Z) with 3 each. The Eagles came from behind in the final game with Kaisa leading the charge with service aces on the last 3 points of the game. Kaisa totaled 5 service aces and 2 blocks for the match. Way to make the match exciting. Wow:0

Varsity Eagles Impressive Against Waterford

The Varsity Eagles made short notice of the Waterford Wildcats on Monday night. The Cats fell in three quick sets. For those who were out late at the Denair game: Thanks. Morgan and Johanna each had 5 service aces. Rebekah led with 6 of the teams 21 total kills. Aubrey had 2 blocks. Johanna dished out 18 assists from her setter position. Great Job Eagles:-)

Lady Eagles Make a Great Effort vs. Denair

The Varsity Lady Eagles fell behind 0-2 to Denair on Wednesday and then force the match into a 5th and deciding game. The Eagles were not able to come all the way back but they made a great effort.

Audrey and Rebekah lead the way will 14 kills each.

TC Lady Eaglets Frustrate Coyotes

The JV Lady Eagles improved to 3 and 2 in the Southern League with a convincing 2-0 win over the Deniar Coyotes. All of the Eagles got an opportunity to contribute to the victory. Ashley B had 2 kills and was very agressive at the net. Sara recorded two assists from her setter's spot. The team recorded 16 kills, 7 by Kaisa and 5 by Molly Z. Many of the kills were assisted by setter Molly F. with 8.
